Dr. Mia Duncan is the only urologist in Fairbanks to have completed an accredited fellowship in Female Urology and Pelvic Floor Reconstruction at the Cleveland Clinic.

She has special expertise in pelvic floor disorders including urinary and fecal incontinence, pelvic prolapse, pelvic pain, and sexual dysfunction. She has been internationally recognized as an expert in sacral neuromodulation and treating bowel and bladder elimination disorders using noninvasive methods that retrain the nervous system pathways governing bowel and bladder function.

Dr. Nimeh has received his medical degree from the renowned McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and has trained in surgery and urology at Harvard University in Boston and at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he received special training in hormone conditions which affect men such as low testosterone.

Dr. Nimeh is also a published expert in minimally invasive procedures for prostate enlargement such as the Greenlight Laser and the UROLIFT procedure and has the largest experience in the UROLIFT procedure in the state of Alaska. He has received rare training in complex surgical male reconstruction surgery at the University of Minnesota and performs penile surgery and procedures for men with urinary and erectile conditions – including microscopic and robotic surgery.

Ashley is a primary nurse practitioner for Fairbanks Urology. She provides comprehensive urologic health care and services to men and women, including health promotion, hormone replacement, and general urologic care. She has a special interest and education in treating female urology and pelvic floor dysfunction, such as the treatment of overactive bladder, interstitial cystitis, pelvic floor dysfunction, sexual dysfunction, pelvic pain syndromes, vulvar pain syndromes, and voiding dysfunction. Ashley is a graduate of Vanderbilt University School of Nursing with a dual masters degree as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, as well as an Adult Nurse Practitioner. She is board certified with the ANCC. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and is also an adjunct professor with the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. She is active in multiple professional organizations and has been a change agent within her profession. Ashley embraces a collaborative approach to patient care and believes that the relationships built with other health care providers are integral in providing exemplary and holistic care. She utilizes both traditional as well as alternative treatment modalities in her practice. She believes in building relationships with her patients and their families.

Zachary Ritter, PA served his community as a Paramedic in the Matanuska Susitna borough for 6 years from 2010-2016. Afterwards he had the privilege of serving Alaska residents across the state as a Critical Care Flight Paramedic. Wanting to expand his ability to help treat patients and make more lasting improvements to people's lives, he attended the University of Washington's Physician Assistant program. After working as a physician assistant for two years in orthopedic surgery, Zachary moved to Alaska Urological Institute in 2017 to work as a Physician Assistant. After three years there, Zachary is delighted to join the staff of Fairbanks Urology in August 2020.

Zachary is a native of Alaska and was born in Palmer. His adventures have taken him across the state and now to Fairbanks where he enjoys the wonderful access to the outdoors. He is a father of three beautiful girls. You can find him on the trails at Birch Hill or around UAF any time of year running, biking or skiing.
